American Automakers Finally Regaining Their Edge

The automotive industry was created by the American automakers. How sad it has been to see it recess so much in the last couple of years. Collapsing along with their business have been the average American / middle class who is struggling to make ends meet without the jobs that the American automotive industry gave him.

Car makers like Honda and Toyota have steadily gained and took a bite out of the business that used to be dominated by the Americans from the 1990s into the 2000s.

And not helping is the image that the American automaker has left in the minds of Americans themselves. Sadly the opinion of most is that the American product is poorly made and more expensive providing less quality. That has at least been the opinion the last several years.

The automotive consumer is enticed by value and  quality. The perception that a product is bad especially when it comes to transportation can really hurt a company and help its competition. Even affecting the whole country that automakers are from.

This bad rap has affected most American automakers. And has allowed Japanese automakers to rockets. However Toyota fell into the trap that the Americans did. Their quality and value has faded over the years. This has come to a climax with an issue involving  gas pedals sticking in the acceleration mode. Oh what a feeling, that is left in the minds of the consumer!
Benefiting from this, are the Americans. Particularly Ford has seen a huge rise in sales and stock. This is good news for the Americans and bad news for Japanese automakers. Also benefiting from this occurrence are South Korean automakers.
